This website features selected works from the last three years since I embarked on a new (or maybe reconnected to an old) path in my artistic journey.

Studying art in the 90’s I was drawn to explore new available media like video, sound and the internet. During my MFA in the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm I focused on developing my skills and artistic expression in video art.

From 2000 to 2012 I created together with my partner Mika Maria Kammerer a series of video works we called “experimental documentaries”. Part of the works from those years can be seen in the www.hamifal.net website. The works are politically and socially engaged and were a result of a strong need to react to our immediate surrounding.

After moving to Berlin, I felt the urge to go back using techniques like printing, drawing and painting. I never stopped drawing, but it was not the focus of my work. It took a while and step by step I started spending more and more time developing the world of personal mythology I left behind years ago.

A few more things I would like to share:

in 2018 Mika and I founded a new project: Kuba-Kulturbahnhof, gallery & artist residency in Klein Warnow/Prignitz. We got the chance to bring back to life part of an old train station and turn it into an on-going artistic hub, a place of motion and emotion that has so far hosted more than 100 artists from different part of the world.

Since 2011 I started writing short stories (in Hebrew). Here is a link to the story Thorns that was translated to English and got published in the on-line short story project:

In 2017 Mika and I created the performance Developing Towards She -possible trans*formations of intimacy

Between 1998 to 2012 I was teaching video art and visual culture in various art academies in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa in Israel.

From 2010 to 2019 I was curating the international Musrara Mix Festival, in Jerusalem.
